I'm so thankful and blessed to have a husband that does 99% of the cooking. Not only does it mean I don't have to cook, but he's really good at it and he makes some pretty delicious food!
See that plate on the left? That's Chicken and Vegetables with Fall Spices and Cranberry Sauce.. from scratch. He's been having a lot of fun playing with the fall spices lately and this particular dish was awesometastic. Yeah, it was so good I had to make up a word. Loved it!
Had I made dinner that night with the same starter ingredients it would probably would have been the same old boring salt and pepper baked chicken, season it and throw it in the oven, maybe put some ranch dressing on it or something.
How often do we fall into the trap of the same old boring baked chicken recipes? It's easy enough to do. But, we have banished boring baked chicken from our kitchen and learned to fall in love with this kitchen staple all over again.

Pick up a pack of chicken thighs or a whole chicken for dinner this week instead. Both options are less expensive than the usual package of chicken breast pieces and you'll get a lot more meat for your dollar.
